On 15th of January 15 2020, in Chisinau, Diana DUMITRACHE, President of the European Aviation Institute, the training organization of the Romanian Aeronautical Association and Eugen COSTEI, Director of the Civil Aeronautical Authority of the Republic of Moldova, signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of aeronautical training – a priority for the civil aviation of the Republic of Moldova.
The memorandum signed by the two parties lays the foundation for collaboration in the field of civil aviation and the training of aeronautical personnel. The main objective to increase the safety and security of civil aviation by aligning to the European and International standards in order to establish and maintain a high level of civil aviation safety, to promote the quality of services and sustainability with the purpose of ensuring an optimum organizational environment for safely supporting, expanding, promoting and developing the aeronautical activities through training.
The parties also agreed to carry out joint activities and to organize training sessions for CAA experts, crew members, air traffic controllers, engineers, technicians and airport operators.
Diana Dumitrache appreciates the Republic of Moldova Civil Aeronautical Authority’s vision on the importance of aeronautical personnel training, considering that this cooperation will add value not only for the two institutions but also to the development of the civil aviation in this area.
